Day 56 - Tuesday, Feb 26, 2008 (temp +6)
Went to work today but only for an hour because my husband was really sick and needed me to come home and watch our son while he rested. Instead of sitting around I decided that since my son rarely ever takes the bus that I would take him on a bus ride to downtown he was really excited about that (he's 3 years old everything makes him excited) We left at just after 10am and once we got there I took him to Canada place inside the super fast elevators and he loved it. Then we went to pick up some lunch and visit his aunty at work and she works at a dealership downtown and he loved seeing all the new cars (he loves cars). Then once we finished lunch we had to head back to our area because James was getting sleepy and he ended up napping on the bus all the way home. Once we got home he didn't want to stay so he peddled his tiny little bike while pulled him with a rope to the park (he's not strong enough yet to bike all by himself all the way to the park because this will be his first year riding) but by the end of summer I am sure he will be a pro! Then not long after we got there the bell rang and the kids were done school and me and James went to go pick up Rena from class. She was so happy when she saw me and James waiting for her. We played at the park some more. Then I had to go to the bank we walked all the way while I pulled James on his bike he's already getting good at keeping the handle bars straight. Then from the bank we walked all the way home. By the time I got home it was 6:15pm and me and James had been out and about for 8 hours and only 2 hours of that time I spent sitting down. Me legs were sore, my arms were sore and I was pooped out and I am so surprised my son lasted all day with one little 40 min nap on the bus. OMG I can't believe I spent 6 hours on my feet and the next morning I was still sore. But I had a very good mommy and son day!
