Smoking ugggg!
9/4/2008
Smoking ugggg! I have a confession to make....I have a horrible addition of yes smoking...I have just quit yesterday.  I have been struggling with trying to quit for the past few years or so but obviously not trying hard enough I had been to the point of cutting down big time only on weekends or only when I drink once or twice a month but no matter how much or how little I have not let go...I hate it so much it discusts me but the habit 0oh the habit I hate it so...I hate to say that I have been a smoker for just over 15 years.  It's so hard also when so many people around me smoke.  But this time its for real I want to be done for good...I signed up at quitnet.com someone told me about it and its a pretty cool site.  I am doing this cold turkey and with no medication.  I know I can do this...

As an ex-smoker myself (I've been smoke-free for about 17 yrs now!), I know what you are going through and trust me, quitting is definitely the right choice. You will feel so much better in the long run. You definitely have the right attitude so good luck! Keep us posted... we'll be here to cheer you on! :)

Quitting is the right choice, and you seem to have a great attitude about it. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! I agree with Jim that keeping a good workout regimen is more important now than ever. Quitting will also help with your walking and running!
Good for you Lisa!

So glad you've resolved to quit, Lisa. It's not easy when you've been a longtime smoker. You're in my prayers. It's really important to keep up your exercise regimen now...it will help you get past the cravings.
