Running Podcasts for your IPOD

Running Podcasts for your IPOD I just discovered podcasts made for running in the itunes store online which I am going to try.

The first one I am going to tell you about is labelled is "Podcast for Running"

Some of you maybe familiar with the Couch to 5k in the coolrunning.com website, well a guy decided to start a podcast with all 9 weeks of the couch to 5k training program in an audiobook version to listen as you train.  I listened to the first episode to see what it was all about and he actually tells you when to run and walk and there is a picture icon that you can see on your ipod letting you know where you are during your run...example...warmup, 1 run, 2 run, 3 run etc.  he also tells you when to speed up or slow down.  I'm thinking this guy should make more running podcasts because I like that format.  Music also changes and speeds up and slows down accordingly.

The other one that I checked out was labelled "PODRUNNER - INTERVALS---workout music for tempo based exercise"

This one has 27 episodes and takes you from 5k in 10 weeks, 8k in 10 weeks and a 10k in 2 weeks but instead of letting you know by speaking when to walk or he has a tone that lets you know that you have to switch from walking to running or from running to walking.  Music also changes and speeds up and slows down accordingly.

I thought this would be really cool to try because then I don't have to look at my stop watch or anything, all I have to do is listen and I like the idea of that so I thought I would share my discovery for the people who may not be aware of this.  I only just got my ipod this past christmas and I slowly discovering the many things it can do and I really like the podcasting its very interesting.
