Diet Excuses !!
excuses, diet, health, laughs, chocolate

But it was my birthday, so I had to eat the whole cake.
But the doughnut was calling my name.
If you eat something and no one sees you eat it, it has NO calories.
If you drink a diet soda with a candy bar, the calories in the candy bar are cancelled by the diet soda.
If you fatten up everyone else around you, then you look thinner.
Only eat things that have been broken into pieces; that way all the calories have fallen out.
My favorite / Chocolate is a vegetable. How, you ask? Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans. Beans = vegetable. Sugar is derived from either sugar cane or sugar beets. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. Thus, chocolate is a vegetable. And now ( give me all your chocolate and no one will get hurt ) !!!!
Feel free to add any of your favorite excuses !! ??
Thanks !!

HEALTH BENEFITS OF CHOCOLATE !!
antioxidants, chocolate, health, imagine, diet
|
Chocolate is made from plants, which means it contains many of the health benefits of vegatables. These benefits are from "flavonoids", which act as "antioxidants". Antioxidants protect the body from aging caused by "free radicals", which can cause damage that leads to heart disease. Dark chocolate contains a large number of antioxidants - more so than milk chocolate.
Flavonoids provide important protective benefits to plants, such as in repairing damage and shielding from environmental toxins. When we consume plantbased foods rich in flavonoids, it appears that we also benefit from this "antioxidant" power. Flavonoids also help relax blood pressure through the production of "nitric oxide", and balance hormones in the body.
Chocolate does have some fat but the good news is some of the fats in chocolate do not impact your cholesterol. The fats in chocolate are 1/3 oleic acid, 1/3 stearic acid and 1/3 palmitic acid. OLEIC ACID is a healthy monounsaturated fat that is also found in olive oil. STEARIC ACID is a saturated fat but one which research shows has a neutral effect on cholesterol. PALMITIC ACID is also a saturated fat, one which raises cholesterol and heart disease risk. This means only 1/3 of the fat in chocolate is bad for you.
So enjoy chocolate several times a week. Don't forget to eat other flavonoid-rich foods like apples, red wine, tea, onions and cranberries.
Of course I have to end this with my important MEMO " GIVE ME ALL YOUR CHOCOLATE AND NO ONE WILL BE HURT" !!!!!!
ENJOY !!!!!!

Bright IDEAS on Replacing ....
health, taste, ideas, nutrition, chocolate
|
You can bake muffins without any oil at all by substituting corn syrup for the oil.
Replace sour cream with low-fat yogurt or blended low-fat cottage cheese.
Replace your favorite cheese with a small amount of grated Parmesan or Romano cheese. Parmesan and Romano cheese have such a strong flavor that you can often use smaller quantities ending up with one fourth the fat and calories of Swiss, Cheddar, etc.
Replace whole milk products with skim and low-fat milk products.
Replace whole eggs with egg whites.
Replace butter or margarine with Butter Buds or other butter replacers.
Replace cooked vegetables with steamed or raw veggies.
Fruit juices are high in simple carbs not complex carbs, consider diluting your favorite juice with an equal amount of water.
I'm sure you know of others - please add to this list !! ??
And Oh by the way don't touch the CHOCOLATE !! GIVE IT TO ME AND NO ONE WILL GET " HURT " !!!!
