JimB I just tried a Google search and was pleased to see my blog come up. Thing is, it came up on a short list when I searched on my name, but no one on the outside who's interested in fitness is going to be searching that way. When I used any of the tags I put on that entry, a gazillion items came up...my blog only came up near the top when I used the combination of all five tags. The lesson here is that if we want our content to be noticed, members should be encouraged to use very specific and/or distinctive tags. If we use broad subjects like "fitness" or "weightlifting," they'll get lost.

JimB Troy, I just learned the meaning of RSS feeds today. Sounds cool! Does this mean that our blogs and other content are showing up on Google searches? Are you able to track whether people are subscribing?

Rusty Troy,

I read these. Hey did you just add RSS, because that is HUGE in my opinion! You have no idea how much this is going to increase your Page Rank in Google. Yes...I'm a website Geek and most people don't realize the significance, but this is a big, big deal! Off to do some "RSS Marketing" on my Fitconnect Blog!
