Recommended Workout Stuff

Disclaimer: Sorry boys, this playlist is pretty girly… My i-Pod Gym playlist: Extraordinary – Liz Phair Watch Me Shine – Joanna Pacitti Anything Britney, really. Fighter – Christina Aguilera Going Under – Evanescence Lose Yourself – Eminem Pour Some Sugar On Me – Def Leppard Dirrty – Christina Aguilera What You Waiting For – Gwen Stefani Shake Ya Tailfeather – P. Diddy, Nelly, Murphy Lee Hot Stuff – Pussy Cat Dolls I Don't Need A Man – Pussy Cat Dolls Show Me Love (Extended) – TaTu Maneater – Nelly Furtado Since U Been Gone – Kelly Clarkson These are just some songs that help keep me pumped and going…I'd love to hear from anyone else what songs help them get through their workouts! Recommended Home Workout DVDs: TurboJam – I just got this and I LOVE it…I tried it out last night and even me, a seasoned gym-goer felt the burn and was dripping in sweat. I'm going to do one of these workouts at least 5x a week in addition to my regular workouts! After I get my personal and group fitness certifications, I am going to go to LA to an instructor's workshop to become a certified TurboJam® Instructor and hopefully make it a big thing in the Charleston area. YogaBootyBallet – Cardio Caberet and HipHop Abs really get a good cardio workout in and then they do some ab isolation on the hiphop DVD and some sculpting moves with dumbbells on their regular YogaBootyBallet DVD. I've had these for a couple years and still love to pull them out if I can't make it to the gym on a certain day. (Mothers need these types of backup!) Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease – I love these just because they are fun…and once you get the routines down, if you set the DVDs to the programmable workouts where the routine runs over and over, you WILL get a cardio workout and some good stretching. There is also one called Fit To Strip and it's a 45-min all-over body sculpting workout (no striptease routine). This one is a GREAT workout. Shape DVDs (Abs, Buns & Thighs) – These really work you out and tone your trouble zones. I found mine on EBay for good prices. NYC Ballet Workouts 1 & 2 – These will kick your ass! Slightly boring with the monotone narrator, but these DVDs show you the actual NYC Ballet Company's workouts and if you want a dancer's physique – this is the way to go. Recommended Books: The Body Sculpting Bible For Women – The science of working out and eating right can be so complicated. Especially with all of these fad diets and workout programs. This book is straightforward…it shows you (pics included) the best workouts and even lines out a 14-day workout regimen that you switch up to keep from plateauing. I have noticed so much more definition in my trouble areas since purchasing this book and using it at the gym. I always recommend this book when any of my friends come to me for workout advice and they are so thankful after having purchased it. As with any other diet and exercise, it takes motivation, determination and willpower, but it is excellent. The Body Sculpting Bible For Women: Abs** The Body Sculpting Bible For Women: Buns & Thighs** **The last 2 are obviously in the same series, just more focused workouts on your trouble areas.

Ron Man...if I posted my playlist...I think that, for the most part, people would look at the artists and say, "who?"

fitbeachbabe Her #5 DVD: HipHop is really good....it's fun and upbeat. You do the routine over and over and it's a good workout. The 3rd one: The Lap Dance is great too...I recommend them all actually! haha...

jillybean I love your playlist, anything to keep a workout going! I am a fan of Carmen Electra's Striptease workouts too.... Do you like a specific dvd of hers b/c I'm looking to buy some more but don't know which to get. I only have her first one which is pretty good but a little slow at times

fitbeachbabe "Smile" is a good song! I may just have to download it!

fitbeachbabe Well, I've been a dancer all my life...so any song that I can envision myself dancing to as I'm working out on the elliptical makes my list since it keeps me inspired. So that's the reason for Pour Some Sugar on Me being on the list...

MleighS84 love the list - have most of them on my playlist as well!! great minds think alike - i really like the song Smile by Vitamin C - puts a little extra oomph in my step and helps me grimace through the pain!!!

ryan Lose Yourself - Great choice... Pour some Sugar on me is a good song, but it can't make my gym mix because it reminds me of 80s bar nights and the hangovers that follow.
