Diet Tips for Those Wishing to Lose Weight

Diet Tips for Those Wishing to Lose Weight
Here are a few tips on food if you are trying to lose weight. If you combine a healthy diet with three days of moderate exercise, you can lose the fat pretty fast, gain some good muscle, and lose the dress sizes. You don't have to have a degree in exercise or nutrition to have success, you just need to put the right kind of calories into your body, while avoiding the wrong ones.

Foods to avoid:

All bread that contains flower (Ezekiel Bread has no flower in it)
All rice, white, brown, etc.
All Pasta, except Ezekiel pasta
All candy and sweets
Dressings for salad (see below)

Foods to go light on:

Dairy, especially cheese
light on condiments that go on sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers, such as mayo, ketchup, mustard is fine though
Dark chocolate is fine, no more than one Hershey's kiss a day, or equivalent (gotta cheat ya know!)
Any and all cooked and/or processed food, fruits and veggies included
natural peanut butter
Canned tuna (mercury content keeps it at once to twice a week only)
Dressings: Vinegar and Oil, or light variations that have zero trans fat (look for ingredients list, ensuring no partially hydrogenated oils)
honey
baked potatoes, however, don't douse it in butter or sour cream, put "Spike" seasoning on it, or salt and pepper, and just a smidge of smart balance butter.

Eat all you want, whenever you want:

Raw fruits and veggies, especially spinach, broccoli, and cantaloupe
Hard boiled eggs
canned salmon, no mayo (doesn't have the worry about mercury content that tuna has)
Ezekiel bread (can't eat too much anyway, get full way too fast! hehe)
One Juice Plus+ Complete Smoothie a day to replace a meal, preferably dinner.
Juice Plus Capsules three times a day (Fruits, Veggies, and Vineyard)

Once you reach your target / goal weight, you can now add the "Foods to Avoid" category to "Foods to go light on" category. The key to success with food, is to remove the emotions from them. It's like being a good investor, it's all about the numbers, once emotions creep in, you lose objectivity and then mistakes happen. If food is non emotional, just something that you do a few times a day to charge you up, the more successful you'll be. Good luck!!!

n8ball If you are at your goal body fat percentage or weight, rice can be moved to the sometimes category, this is just for the initial push to make your goal. With everything in life, cheat just a lil and it won't matter much. It's about lifestyle changes, not about becoming a zealot. :)
