Nutrition Courses
Tags: courses, nutrition, fitness training, school

So I have changed my lifestyle. I eat very healthy, and spend hours researching what to eat and what not to eat. I enjoy conversations about healthy diets, proper nutrition and excercise.
I have decided I want to pursue some courses in nutrition. I surfed the web for options and choices.
I realized that the options are endless. Many study at home courses that sound too easy to really be worth while.
1 did stick out in the crowd though. I am very intrigued by the Performance Nutritionist course offered by ISSA. Has anybody taken this course? Does anybody have any suggestions?
I want to complete this course, and perhaps, follow up with their certification as a personal fitness trainer.
I know I want to help others find the happiness and healthiness I discovered through proper diet and physical activity.
I would love to hear suggestions, ideas, and any experiences you may have had with this or similar courses.
Thanks!

Calorie Questions
Tags: diet, help wanted, eating habits

I am 6'1". I am also very active. I live a healthy and active lifestyle. I wake up with my kids, get them ready for school, i go to work, come home to cook and get the kids to bed, then its off to the gym for 2+ hours.
I eat very healthy food, but I also workout more than many.
How many calories should I be eating? Since I do so much cardio 6 days a week, does it really matter?
Currently I try to eat roughly 1400 calories.
My goal is to lose inches off my gut, and ad slight amount of visible muscle.
How many calories should I eat?
I am looking for as many tips and as much advise as possible.
Cheers...

Hoax called Isagenix
Tags: diet, supplements, personal opinion

My cousins in Toronto are firm believers in Isagenix. They use it, they work in the pyramid, and they even make some good money off of it.
I decided I would give it a try. I see groups on mySpace and Facebook praising Isagenix. You hear the claims, "you will lose weight, cleanse your liver, feel better, be less hungry"
So I tried it, and guess what? I absolutely hated it. You spend all day starving, unsatisfied, and I lost NO WEIGHT. I felt aweful.
I must admit, I still do take the Isagenix Natural Accelerator with breakfast and supper, but I find eating a healthy diet and doing great workouts is the only way to look and FEEL great. The better I eat and the better the workout I do, the better I feel, sleep, function etc...
Has anybody tried Isagenix and disliked it like I have?

Lost in a sea of information
Tags: weight loss, diet, muscle building, help wanted, internet

Ok, so I lost 8 pounds and 3.5 inches all by myself. That is pretty good, but it is only a start. Now that I am in better shape than I was 3 weeks ago, its time to revamp my workout and change my diet a bit.
Going online you find thousands of articles about food, weightloss, muscle gain and millions of other related topics. However, it is hard to find 2 articles that support the same theory.
I spent the last 3 weeks eating very healthy, low carb, low sugar, high fiber, high protein diet. My biceps and chest did grow slightly. My gut dissolved and needs to continue.
I am now setting a new goal, and would love as much advise as possible. I am in this to look good, feel good, and most important, to be healthy!
