Anorexia Causes People Magazine to Bypass Mary-Kate Olson in Most Beautiful People List

Anorexia Causes People Magazine to Bypass Mary-Kate Olson in Most Beautiful People List People Magazine recently released their list of the most beautiful people and Ashley Olson was featured toward the top. Mary-Kate, her younger sister (by 2 hours), did not make the list.

But they look identical
Although Mary-Kate and Ashley were able to fool us all into thinking Michelle Tanner was played by one person, they're "identicalness" has slightly faded. While Ashley is really skinny, Mary-Kate is downright skin and bones.

Over-doing the Skinniness

In my opinion, the primary reason that Ashley graced the charts and Mary-Kate took a beating is due to Mary-Kate's anorexic binges which climaxed in 2005. Her face looks bony and frail. She almost looks like she has a disease. I feel bad being so critical, but she's ruined her look (she made the choice).

Skinnier isn't always better
This silent statement by People magazine shows that skinnier is not always more attractive. When looking to lose weight, be sure that your weight loss goals have an ending point. Getting caught up with being skinnier and skinnier can become an obsession, a sickness. Once you reach your weight loss goal, set a different goal toward maintaining your new body.

The future for Mary-Kate

Hopefully this public diss by People Magazine will cause Mary-Kate to wake up and realize that if she puts on a few pounds she'd be a lot more attractive.

ryan That is a good way to look at it. I'll admit, I somewhat just assumed that she chooses her eating disorders, but I can see how it's not exactly a conscious choice. And yea, she definitely shouldn't be a role model.

taylorryan She choose to be anorexic? Some people think that this is a disease, youre right she does look like she is sick but that is because she is. Anorexia is not just something girls wake up to and say... "you know i think i will become anorexic." I do support people fully for not flaunting her as a positive figure. She is not someone girls should aim to be like and I respect their decision, if that was the reason. ok, sorry for the soap box.

ryan Ha, yea... she was on the cocaine diet - but she was also diagnosed with anorexia. Probably she didn't eat because she was too coked up to have an appetite.

ozipherus I agree with you fully about reaching your weight loss goal and then switching to weight maintenance. Skinnier is not always better, that is for sure... as for Mary-Kate, I was under the impression it was more of a cocaine addiction than anorexia, but neither is a good disease to have.
