I'm so frustrated. I'm trying to lose weight and look my best for the summer. I'm short, 5'2" and currently around 118. I want to lose at least 10 lbs. I was thinking of eating 1200 calories regardless of exercise. Say, if I didn't work out eat 1200, and if I did work out and burn 500 calories, I'd still eat 1200. Is this too low? Should I be eating more? I want to lose weight but do not want to slow down my metabolism in the process.

This leads to another thing...WORKING OUT. I normally wanted to go 5 days/week but is that too much?? Should I instead go 3 days/week so my body doesn't depend on the gym? My thoughts are contradicting each other... I am driving myself mad...
